The show started with 'Kuss Mich' and it took some time before everybody
had noticed Das Letzte Einhorn made his entrance in a cage standing at the
side of the hall on a platform. |
| He really looked like he desperately wanted to get out of it to kiss
someone... the cage was shaking of his behavior, so it was hard to take a
good picture, but it was a great entrance. |
He got back on stage halfway the song when dr. Pymonte played the 'harp
solo'. Dr Pymonte wore a brand new leather coat that looked cool! |
| On stage was a new platform in front of the drum kit, which Das Letzte
Einhorn stood on for a while during 'Hiemali Tempore'. Maybe he tried to
distract our attention from Flex der Biegsame and Yellow Pfeiffer taking a
rest already? ;-) |
After Mischa showed how to get onto the platform, Flex decided to get
into action again and got onto it too. Good boy! |
| Of course Van Lange wanted to get some attention too, so he stepped onto
a speaker when they were playing 'Sefardim'. I'm not sure what Flex is
thinking of it....? 'Hey you, come down! You don't even play a medieval
instrument like I and Boris do!' |
During 'Vollmond' Yellow Pfeiffer remembered Van Lange's action and
showed us his new leather skirt and his new shoes standing on the speaker
too. |
| Let's take a closer look.... He has changed the coverage of his bagpipe
too! To remind us of his name perhaps? |
Van Lange has changed the upper part of his outfit, real fans should
know what it used to look like! If you're not sure about it, perhaps you
could take a look at the pics of some other concerts on our site.... In
that case we'll forgive you! ;-) As always Van Lange sings along enthusiastically with
'Spielmannsfluch'. |
| Die Lutter is wearing a (new?) jacket that matches his skirt. Wouldn't
expect a guy to take notice of that..... Or did his wife take care of it?
;-) |
Oops, did he hear what I said? Please keep on playing, I'm sorry about
that joke! |
| Phew! Thank you Kay, I'll give you some nice and shiny foil cuttings!
Let's leave this sensitive guy alone for a while now..... |
.....and pay some attention to the new instruments on stage. On the left
of Dr Pymonte you see a so called 'Klangbaum' or sounding tree in English. |
| In the back you see Die Lutter holding an instrument called 'Trumscheid'
or marine trumpet in English. It's a rare medieval instrument. Looks like Yellow Pfeiffer tries to figure out what it is, but it is also
used for acoustic gigs so he must have seen it before. Lutter thinks he's
a fool I guess...;-) |
But because lots of fans have not seen an acoustic gig I think, we take
a closer look while 'Melancholie' is played.. |
| Dr Pymonte starts playing his new instrument with burning sticks during
Nymphenzeit, did Der Morgenstern learn him? |
Yellow Pfeiffer thinks that's kid's play; 'Look what I can do!' |
| Now that's an exciting show with burning sticks! |
But the real master of hot entertainment is Das Letzte Einhorn of
course! |
| This needs no words.... |
I'm not sure what Boris is thinking now.... Maybe he's a bit jealous of
Mischa having showed the hottest trick? |
| 'But I can twirl too.....' |
Now Mischa wants to get some attention again.... Boris gives in and
decides to take his bagpipe again, at least Mischa hasn't got one... 'Hey
you, I already stopped the twirling, you can get back on your place now'. |
| That's a good boy! |
Now I can show off with my bagpipe buddy Flex...(grinning) |
| Together with Dr. Pymonte they play one of the best bagpipe parts ever;
the intro to 'Villeman og Manhild'. |
In the new great song Ave Maria Yellow Pfeiffer and Flex support Mischa
when he's giving his best to put as much power into his singing as
possible. |
| Dr. Pymonte takes his harp and Der Lange joins them. |
Let's get back to Das Letzte Einhorn again. He has put on his best coat
to sing 'Merseburger Zaubersprüche II'. |
| For 'Stetit Puella' he takes his small shawm, it looks quite funny I
think. |
Dr Pymonte has got one too.... that looks even more funny! |
| Yes, the big one matches this big guy better! |
After playing 'Nymphenzeit' it was time for Mischa to give credits to
some band members. When Dr Pymonte played the intro to 'Vollmond', Mischa
encouraged us to give him credits too. |
| Boris is waiting patiently. |
Flex is showing us his new skirt I think.... 'It looks nice!' |
| Dr Pymonte tries to get some attention too by walking up and down the
stage. It looks like Das Letzte Einhorn has had enough of it ;-) |
It's time to give the roadie some credits now. Why was he holding his
belly all the time? Was he that nervous he got a belly ache getting
applauded? |
| Before we have to say goodbye to the boys, there are some hot pics left
for you. First you see some pyro that was let off during the new song
Madre Deus. |
The good old song 'Omnia sol temperat' is a guarantee for big flames and
lots of fans jumping around. |
| The guys put their best foot foremost one time again.... |
....and then it looks like the show is over... |
| But.... Mischa tells Rainer to play another song! It's 'in Extremo' and
all fans loudly sing along. |
But then it's really over.... |
| They did play a long set (22 songs!!). When you look at the play list, it's nice to
see they had to emphasize when the pyro and gas parts would take place
because it was a new show. That's good, because we wouldn't want a band
member to get burned.... |
