In Extremo pictures

König Pilsener Arena, Oberhausen, December 27, 2003

In Extremo headlined the festival "On A Dark Winter's Night".

Let's start with the first picture we took. Has Flex shrunken since we saw him 3 months ago? ;-)
Let's take a closer look..... No, it was just an illusion, he's still able to use the microphone!
Van Lange has more problems with it! But he really is quite a small guy...
"I may be small, but my funny faces are great!"
"So is my showing off act!', Die Lutter must have thought.
Well, let's pay some attention to him now...
But not too long, because Das Letzte Einhorn has put on his 'magician's' coat and 'Merseburger Zauberspruche' will be the next song! Need I say more?
Was he afraid to get lost in the dark winter's night?
Yellow Pfeiffer also colored his hair, maybe their hairdresser offered some cheap 'get-2-pay-one' deal?
Now he's trying to distract us I think....
"Hey you, can you get their attention please?"
"No, please, I want to do a solo! Please all look at me!"
Well, that's ok too!
Let's get heated now!
Even the gallows catch fire!
Is that Das Letzte Einhorn burning?! And what is Flex doing? "Flex, you're burning your hand!"
Yellow Pfeiffer and Dr Pymonte practice some choreographic piece. Looks like they don't care... Maybe we don't have to worry too?
Guess not...... Flex joins his buddy and plays on.
Yellow Pfeiffer wants to know if we are still with him. Of course we are!
Especially when we hear the first chords of 'Ai vis lo lop'!
During this song Das Letzte Einhorn invited some guy on stage to sing part of the song and he did quite wel. It was the first time we saw Mischa do that.
Now it's time for a more melodramatic song; 'Melancholie'.
Die Lutter certainly looks like he's in the mood for this song!
Both Basti and Boris have to concentrate to play this atmospheric piece. To my opinion this songs shows that the band members are really good musicians, capable of playing a difficult song without the help or 'coverage' of any electric effects.
But soon it's time again to build up the speed and get ready to rumble. Die Morgenstern has put his sticks on fire to play the introduction to 'Villeman og Manhild'.
Kay joins him playing the familiar uplifting beat.
Soon the place rocks again!
Before the guys say goodbye, I have 3 pictures left to show. All 3 have the mysterious atmosphere me and Alex like about In Extremo.

I hope Mischa is not disappearing?

No, there he is! :-)
This picture is not sharp at all, but I like the colors.
The show is over now. It's time to pay credits. Unfortunately they didn't do an extra play.
Bye bye!
